KPV has no established human dosing guideline, and it is important to say so plainly. It is the C-terminal tripeptide of alpha-MSH, and its anti-inflammatory and gut-healing evidence is drawn from cell studies and mouse colitis models rather than human trials. Every dose figure circulated for it is extrapolation.[1][2]
Reviewed for accuracy · Last reviewed July 7, 2026Community protocols commonly cite roughly 200 – 500 mcg injected subcutaneously once daily, or oral use for gut-related purposes, over a 4 – 8 week cycle. In the preclinical work, oral KPV was taken up in the gut through the PepT1 transporter, which is why oral use is emphasized for intestinal inflammation. None of this establishes a safe or effective human dose.
