About these numbers

The example mixes a 5 mg vial with 2 mL of water for 2.5 mg/mL, where a 1 mg dose is 0.4 mL, or 40 units. All the labeled weight-management doses fit inside one 100-unit syringe at this concentration.

The approved weight-management titration (Wegovy) begins at 0.25 mg once weekly and steps up every 4 weeks toward a 2.4 mg maintenance dose. Compounded or independently sourced vials are not tested to the same standard as the branded pen.
